Description
Tandy TRS-80 Model 102 Vintage computer in excellent condition, with 32KB RAM, disk drive, extras I have been steward of this particular piece of computing history for the past 7+ years. I used it for several months, then put it away. Now, I'm recovering a bit of hobby money to divert to other interests. When I was working with this computer, I wrote a Tetris game for it, which I still have available on the web, for other users. The Model 102 has a RAM backup battery; today I inserted a fresh set of AA batteries, and -- Shazzam! -- my files were still there in memory, where I left them 7 years ago! This computer is just great. The screen is unscratched, and the display has no streaks or dead pixels. The keyboard feels good and functions well. The battery compartment is clean, and the battery cover and ROM cover are intact. There are no significant blemishes, and three of the ports (system bus, printer, BCR) even have their typically-lost covers. The photo shows a small office-type sticky-note on the front left corner; it's a reference for using TS-DOS (more below). This setup has several extras, including full 32KB RAM, the TPDD 3.5 inch disk drive with cable, installed TS-DOS ROM, AC adapter, leatherette slip case, Cordura travel case, documentation, and two other cables. The disk drive tested as working when I got it. I recall something about it annoying me, but it may have been related to unfamiliarity. The TS-DOS ROM simplifies file managment. The AC adapter works with the computer or disk drive. The leatherette slip case is in great shape, but was originally for a Model 100, and is embossed with that designation. Documentation includes: Tandy 102 Owner's Manual Tandy 102 Applications and BASIC Reference Guide Tandy 102 Technical Reference Manual TS-DOS instructions A photocopied manual for the disk drive A tattered glossy in-store promo sheet Serial number 803002313, manufactured in 1988, according to nameplates on bottom. Only Paypal will be accepted, and shipping must be to Paypal confirmed address. Guaranteed to be as described. Beyond that, sale shall be final. I'd be happy to answer your questions, if I can do so without re-learning the idiosyncratic system. However, I will not respond to requests to end the auction early, or to accept arrangements other than stated here.
