Description
You don't find too many of these around any more First Printer that Apple ever sold, Serial # 001578 Apple II SilenType Printer"Manufactured exclusively for Apple Computer Inc. by Trendcom, Sunnyvale, California"According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_SilenType this thermal printer model was released at the same time as the II+ and is compatible with Apple III. The Apple III does not require an interface card, the Apple II or II does require a deserializer interface card. The label states this is a model A2M0032. The printer has an integrated 3' cable terminated with a black plastic male DB9 connector. Note: I believe this is a combination data and power cable since there is no separate socket or cable for power. See the above article (or google around for SilenType) for notes about the necessary interface card requirements. Also in this auction are 2 additional rolls of thermal paper (the printer has a partial roll inside). The box containing the 2 rolls is labeled "IBM PC Compact Printer Paper Part No. 1503923". The rolls are 8.5" x 25m (according to the label). To be clear, this auction is only for the printer and paper rolls. No manual, interface card, software etc.It all appears to in good shape, but is untested and is sold as is.International buyers will get an accurate shipping and handling quote after the auction close.Thank you! As always I gladly ship worldwide.
